MS Locke c.28, fols 139-140
Ff. 2. Paper. Two sheets, each sheet one half of a quartersheet.
 Fol. 139: 97 × 156 mm; fol 140: idem.
Both sheets contain part of a watermark, probably a coat of arms.
Stitching and pins
Folios 139 and 140 have both two punctures, used to demarcate the line for the fold that separates the margin (c. 20 mm) from the body of the main text. Distance between the two punctures in both folios: 150 mm.
Quires and page numbers
Folio numbers added by the Bodleian librarian.
Marginal space is left open on the left-hand side of the recto side and the right-hand side of the verso side of of both leafs. All margins are left empty, except the margin of fol. 139r, which contains ‘Morality’, possibly as endorsement, at the same height where this word is also used as title at the start in the main text. The margin of fol. 139r also contains four headings: ‘Def:’, ‘Axiom 1’, ‘Ax 2’ and ‘Ax’.
